The nature of fishery
Grade: 7th – 10th grade
Price: 900 DKK + 55,- in entrance per student. The course is free for schools in Hjørring Municipality.
Max. 28 students per team
Duration: 90 minutes
Examination of the connection between the North Seas large primary production and the rich resources of fish.
After a short introduction by the North Sea Map in the exhibition we will work with food chains in the wet laboratory, from studies of fresh plankton and herring and cod, to dissection in order to find the connection between the physical conditions and the large primary production as a basis for the fishing in the North Sea.
The course can be combined with a visit to the fish auction.
