The School Service has a laboratory which is ideal for miscellaneous examinations. With inlay saline it is possible to have living animals in a vessel built into the table.
There are different laboratory-, field- and measuring equipment in the laboratory, so the room can be used as a base for field surveys by the pier, ocean, beach, dune or plantation. When lending measuring equipment (photometer, oxygen meter and salinity meter) and fishing equipment (shrimp net and rackets) you need to pay a deposit of 500 DKK, which will be refunded after use – unless the equipment is broken. Damages from normal use are ignored. If the equipment is lost, it must be replaced.
One wall in the laboratory has a giant photomontage of wash up, which is regularly found on the west coast of Jutland.
