Eggs & youngsters

Wonderful days filled with cosy and educational experiences for the whole family.

.

It's spring! And love is blossoming in the aquariums.

Several fish species begin their reproduction in the spring, so throughout the spring we will be taking a closer look at eggs and young fish, among other things.

We are transforming our Backstage area into a small fish nursery and filling the small aquariums with lots of exciting young fish and eggs. There will be everything from small and large spotted red sharks to cute little stone biters.

You can also learn to tell the difference between shark and ray eggs, as well as exactly which species laid which eggs.

Nature bingo – a fun hunt through the aquariums

Go on a discovery with Nature Bingo and see who in the family can find all the animals on the bingo card first.

Perhaps you will spot a lumpfish in its beautiful red colour, or a dogfish that has built a nest for its eggs. You can also go hunting for the seahorse, where the roles are reversed and the male takes care of the eggs.

Along the way, you will learn fun facts about the animals – for example, that a shore crab can carry up to 185,000 eggs.

Nature Bingo turns your visit into a game where curiosity and discovery take centre stage – and where the whole family can join in. Who will get bingo first?
