Autumn holidays with fun, games and learning..

The autumn holidays are just around the corner, which means that we will be organising lots of fun and educational activities for the whole family - indoors and outdoors. 

Experience the daily feeding times at both the Oceanarium and out by the seals, and explore the thousands of fish and sea creatures on display. 

Enjoy the enormous outdoor area with plenty of space to play on the large playground and cosy up in our shelters to the sound of the babbling brook Emmersbækken. 

Dazzling octopuses

In celebration of World Octopus Day on 8 October, during the autumn holidays we are focusing on one of the sea’s unique creatures: the octopus! 

Join us when we open the creative workshop where you can make your own octopus keyring. 

You can also get close and personal with this fascinating creature as we dissect octopuses several times a day and talk about their marvellous biology.

Did you know that an octopus has three hearts? 

You can also hunt for octopuses in the exhibition and enter the competition to win a HUGE soft toy octopus!

Program of the day

Every day, the schedule includes several educational and interesting activities and feedings - indoors as well as outdoors!

Feel the sea by visiting our 'touch basin', learn more about the giants of the oceans at the Whale Researcher's Hut, have fun at the playground or in the By the Lighthouse green open space, learn more about the food chains of the oceans at the Hunters of the North Sea exhibition, or explore the fish tanks and their more then 8,000 inhabitants on your own.
