Two seal species live in the large outdoor basin. Both of them are common in the Danish waters: the common seal and grey seal.
The sealarium contains 800.000 litres of salt water and is constantly supplied with fresh water.
Like humans, seals are gregarious animals and thrive when they live with equals. Normally, there are between 6-10 seals in Seal Colony Liim Fiord.
In the glass tunnel on the bottom of the basin you can spend a lot of time studying the seals play right beside you. But seals are very curious animals, so be prepared to be studied yourself…
