Two seal species live in the large outdoor basin. Both of them are common in the Danish waters: the harbour seal and the grey seal.
The seal habitat contains 800.000 litres of salt water and is constantly supplied with fresh water.
Like humans, seals are gregarious animals and thrive when they live with equals. Normally, there are between 6-10 seals in the Limfjord seal habitat.
In the glass tunnel beneath the basin, you can spend a lot of time studying the seals play right beside you. However, seals are very curious animals so be prepared to be studied yourself as well.
Det var dejligt at besøge. Vi havde et barn med, som syntes det var sjovt at se sælerne blive fodret, røre ved fiskene...
